In 1989 he started taking ceramic courses at Sir Sanford Fleming College and from there his pottery career blossomed. Since then, he has participated in many workshops and exhibitions and is active in the local art community. Stephen has also won many awards for his pottery, including: The Harbinger Award, People's Choice
